There is nothing more frustrating than dealing with an unprofessional person who holds a professional position. The person I’m writing about is the senior personal manager of a bank. For privacy reasons, I’ll call her Twang. That name suits her, I think. And – I won’t mention the name of the bank either.
I’m into the fourth month of trying to finish the financial affairs of the estate I’ve been named executrix of. From day one, Twang has not been helpful. She has been very evasive. She hedges, hums & haws. I’ve had to argue & demand every little thing I did receive. I was supposed to receive monthly statements of the estate account.
Doesn’t monthly statements mean, you receive them each month? I never received any until I visited the bank and made a complaint. The next day, they were in my mail box. All 3 of them. One for each month.
Twang is very good at shooting my blood pressure up and making my angina flare up as well.
When the bank opened the estate account, all other accounts held in the deceased person’s name were supposed to be closed and any funds transferred to the estate account. Sounds simple, doesn’t it?
Not if Twang is in your life.
While going through the ‘finally received’ monthly statements, I noticed the omission of a deposit that was made back in January. So, I phone Twang. For backup reasons, I also left a message for another person at the bank.
So, Miss Twang calls me back. Of course, my machine is on. But, this is what she says: ‘Oh, I found that deposit you asked about. The money was deposited into the other account.’
WHAT OTHER ACCOUNT?????
See, what I mean? Can I have her fired?
